‘Mr. Bean’s World’ in development on Social Play Space™ Platform from Egencie

London, UK. – Tiger Aspect Production’s hugely successful brand, Mr. Bean, celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2010 and US licensing agent, The Sharpe Company, Inc. has been busy implementing plans and bringing new opportunities to mark this impressive milestone.

Egencie, Sharpe and Tiger Aspect are collaborating to produce a Mr. Bean social website and on-line virtual world including Mr. Bean avatars, social web games, adventures and activities.

Egencie’s Social Play Space™ platform and services give Tiger Aspect the ability to launch a social world capable of entertaining millions of fans in multiple countries, using multiple languages and enabling a multi-currency, micro transaction-based economy for users to collect, trade and purchase Mr. Bean related digital items.

Mr. Bean will also win over a whole new audience in 2010, increasing the fan-base even more as the original 14 episodes return to UK Television, broadcasting on ITV3 starting January of next year. Special edition DVDs of the original series will also be rolled out to over 45 territories and further increase the audience for Mr. Bean’s World.

Katherine Senior, Executive Producer of Mr Bean, said “Tiger Aspect is working closely with Egencie and Sharpe to bring in a social/virtual world with games and a micro transaction-based economy to continue to expand the unique humour of the Mr Bean brand world-wide.” Egencie’s Managing Director Tim Baio added “We believe our ‘under 13/over 13’ permissions module brings the strategic advantage Bean needs to be successful. It creates a fun yet safe environment for all ages…one that parents feel good about and kids relate to.”
